About the Festival

The North Salem Old Fashion Days is located in North Salem, Indiana (Hendricks County) and held annually on the Labor Day Weekend. During the 3-day festival there are many attractions for all ages to enjoy. There is live entertainment, carnival rides, craft and commercial booths, food vendors, and a huge parade on Saturday morning.

Other events include the Perillo's Pizza Eating Contest, 10K/5K Run/ Walk road run (Monday, September 5th), pet parade, horse pull, pie contest, car show, truck pull (Saturday, September 3rd), bed race,and kiddie tractor pull contests.. Of course you won't want to miss the popular open mic at the Pioneer Park Shelter!

Craft Booths and Merchants hours will be Saturday from 9 - 6 PM, Sunday 10 - 6 PM and Monday 10 - 4 PM. Shuttle rides will be available all weekend for .50 cents.

A Little History

The North Salem Old Fashion Days began in 1975 and has continued every year since its inception. The Festival has become an important part of the heritage of North Salem and we thank the many sponsors, committee members, volunteers and community for their continued support.

With over 10,000 visitors annually, we have grown to become the largest festival in Hendricks County! We hope you will visit the North Salem Old Fashion Days and enjoy all that the festival has to offer!
