The North Salem Old Fashion Days festival will return on Labor Day Weekend, September 5–6, 2026, in historic North Salem, Indiana, located in northwest Hendricks County. Each year our small town celebrates its traditions while welcoming visitors with a weekend full of food, family fun, and lively entertainment.

With more than 10,000 visitors attending annually, North Salem Old Fashion Days has grown into one of the largest festivals in Hendricks County. The festival began in 1975 and has continued every year since, becoming an important part of the town’s heritage thanks to the dedication of our sponsors, volunteers, committee members, and community supporters.

Festival highlights include the Smorgasbord Breakfast at 7:00 a.m. Saturday at the United Methodist Church on Main Street and the Old Fashion Days Parade at 11:00 a.m., the largest parade in Hendricks County. Visitors can also enjoy live entertainment, a kids’ area, craft booths, food vendors, and many exciting events throughout the weekend.
Additional activities include the Perillo’s Pizza Eating Contest, Pet Parade, Horse Pull, Pie Contest, Car Show, Truck Pull, Bed Race, and Kiddie Tractor Pull.

2026 Food and Beverage Booth Rental Contract

The North Salem Old Fashion Days Food & Beverage Booth Rental Contract outlines the requirements and guidelines for vendors who wish to sell food or beverages during the annual festival. This agreement helps ensure a safe, organized, and enjoyable experience for both vendors and attendees. The contract includes important details such as booth rental fees, setup and teardown times, health department compliance, permitted food and beverage items, electrical access, and vendor responsibilities. All food and beverage vendors are required to complete and submit the contract to reserve their booth space for the event. Because North Salem Old Fashion Days is a community celebration with a long-standing tradition, vendor spaces are limited and may be approved on a first-come, first-served basis. Completing the contract early is strongly encouraged. By submitting the booth rental contract, vendors agree to follow all event rules, local health regulations, and safety guidelines established for the festival. If you have questions regarding vendor requirements, booth availability, or permitted items, please contact the North Salem Old Fashion Days committee for assistance.

2026 General Booth Rental Contracts

Businesses, artisans, organizations, and food vendors are invited to reserve booth space and be part of this year’s celebration. Our festival attracts thousands of attendees each year and provides a great opportunity to showcase products, promote services, and connect with the community. General booth spaces are available for retail vendors, informational booths, and non-profit organizations. To secure your spot, please complete the 2026 General Booth Contract and submit it along with the required booth fee. Spaces are limited and will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis once applications are received and approved. All vendors are required to follow festival guidelines regarding setup times, booth size, safety requirements, and permitted items for sale or distribution. Full details are included in the contract packet. We look forward to having you join us for another exciting year at the festival!
